Felix Perdomo

Felix Perdomo was born in the Miranda State, Venezuela, in 1956.

He studied at the Escuela de Arte Cristobal Rojas and the Pedagogico Institute, both of Caracas. In addition, he studied at the Contemporary Art Institue in Soho, New York.

From 1979 until 1998, the work of Felix Perdomo has been shown in more than 45 collective exhibits organized by museums and international galleries. He has participated in more than 20 collective exhibits in New York, Miami, Brazil, Switzerland, Ecuador, Colombia, Italy, Argentina and Mexico. Between 1984 and 1999, he also staged eleven individual international exhibits.

In the years 1995, 1999 and 2000 he teaches drawing and painting at the School of Visual Arts "Cristóbal Rojas" as in the Pedagogical Institute of Caracas, in 1998.

Gerardo Valerio Trigueros

A Costa Rican artist born in 1956, Mr Valerio’s beginning in art dates from his first school years, gaining the first award of his life in drawing a portrait of Mr. Jesús Jiménez President of Costa Rica as he appeared in the beginning of the century. He is the son of Mr. Oscar Valerio Rojas and Elena Trigueros Umaña, and grandson of the biologist, entomologist and naturalistic professor Manuel Valerio.

He acknowledges the support of his parents, as well as the support of his wife Vera Virginia Arias Zúñiga as vital in his career, as he pursued his art; his artistic expression of what his grandfather had done in his scientific studies of living animals.

Mr Valerio is a secondary graduate in Sciences and Letters and achieved additional Studies at the University of Costa Rica in drawing, painting, sculpture, xylography and engraving. 

In over thirty years of expression, He has been acclaimed as one of the better hyper-realistic painters of Costa Rica and Latin America, exposing his work in noticeable cultural centers of the continent as well as extensively in private collections in the Americas, Europe, and Asia.

Gerardo’s works form part of the Costa Rican government collections exhibited in the Presidential House, General Finance Office of the Republic, Ministry of Education, Ministry of Nature and Energy, Ministry of Justice and Grace, Refinery of Costa Rican Petroleum, General Attorney's Office of the Republic, National Bank of Costa Rica, and University for the Peace. The office of the secretary of Culture of Jalisco, organized exhibitions of his work in Mexico during the years 1996, 1997, 1998.

After many years of being rewarded in multiple contests with landscapes while developing his own acclaimed style in advance of his later ecological theme, Gerardo entered the 80’s with naturalistic paintings, receiving continuing recognition in this genre. He is committed in continuing his 26 years of painting the world’s flora and fauna with concentration on endangered species as his artistic legacy in a commitment to ecologic preservation for coming generations. As modern pioneer in the ecological movement in his country of Costa Rica, He has fought with his brushes and paintings on behalf of the environmental conservation. This art that is his career has been recognized and awarded not only by the consistent and generous patronage of the Costa Rican Museum of Art, but also by national and international foundations of wild life.

Luis Guevarra Moreno

Born in Valencia, Carabobo state, on June 21, 1926. He studied at the School of Visual Arts and Applied Arts of Caracas, between 1941 and 1945. Expelled from the center to promote reforms, joins the group La Barraca de Maripérez, and works in ceramics. In 1948 he participated in the founding of the Free Art Workshop. A year later, he traveled to Paris and scholarship workshops here frequents André Lothe, Dewasne and Abstract Art Workshop, Edgar Pillet. In 1950 in the formation of the group the following year Dissidents and ascribes to the avant-garde group platform Madi (short for dialectical materialism), who led the Argentine artist Carmelo Arden Quin. Guevara was the standard-bearers of geometric abstract art, exhibits with compatriots and foreigners in Gallery Suzanne Michel and annual salons Réalités Nouvelles. Study at the School of Fine Arts in Paris with Marcel Ducos Delahaille and Jaudon. Travel to Italy.Thereafter, enters a building crisis and return to figurative art. Within a critical intentionality and ideological commitment, revalued figure with work experience and an instance expressionist abstractionist. Participates in international art biennials of Venice, in 1956 and 1958. Back in the country, is one of the most outstanding artists of the "New Figuration" opposite James Perez Borges and Regulus. As has been emphasized teaching as a professor of drawing and engraving scenery.

 Major solo exhibitions: Ateneo de Valencia, Carabobo State, 1941 and 1979; Free Art Workshop, 1948, Sala Mendoza, 1961, 1963, 1966, 1969, 1973 and 1978, MBA, 1961 and 1967; Gallery Consulate of Venezuela new York, 1976, retrospective exhibition, GAN. Rewards: among many others, received the National Prize of Plastic Arts at the XXIX Official Venezuelan Art Salon, 1968
